(No) Dialogue · DUSA JESIH
Mirat Projects along with inaugurates next Thursday, January 12, 2017 the exhibition (No) dialogue, by the artist Dusa Jesih
(No) dialogue is the first solo exhibition of the Slovenian artist Dusa Jesih (Ljubljana, 1977) in Spain, where through the most basic elements of composition a search is started to find the balance between space and time, the static and the dynamic, the finite and unlimited. This search becomes a constant in Jesih's works, in which she studies the combination of geometric and morphological units, as well as of the different chromatic elements.
Jesih divides the surface into a linear construct into a non-symmetric segment with a personalistic language in which it does not follow the path of rationalistic poetics, nor the logic nor the standardized norms of representation. This gives as monumental consequences geometrizations of an interactive effect articulated as discourse between artist and the public. These geometric forms symbolize the infinite and the eternity; The imaginative and visual space opens up, expands in the mind and remains open to the eye.
Through painting, installation and video, a multidisciplinary exhibition, a "Gesamtkunstwerk" or "total work of art" is set up, which opens new perspectives and encourages dialogue.
Dusa Jesih (No) dialogue in the gallery Mirat & Co (Blanca de Navarra, 8. Madrid) until February 17, 2017.
