Alexander Zuleta (Guatemala, 1984) is one of the most important emerging artists and with greater international projection of Guatemala. At the age of five he begins to take an interest in painting, from his childhood to his training he is practically self-taught. After obtaining several recognitions and first prizes in the competitions of his region, to decide from the seventeen years of study graphic design in the University of the Isthmus of Guatemala. Subsequently, he obtained an exchange scholarship in the Philosophy of Art and Design and Practical Art in CODARTS, Hogeschool Voor de Kunsten, Holland.

Zuleta is a visual artist who defies classifications, demonstrates her versatility and great creativity works in practice all possible artistic media (painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, installation and collage). With diverse results according to the topics it explores. Lyrical, worldly and poetic, develops his work within the everyday objects. One of the main themes of his work is the constant study influenced by the themes of childhood that have led him to the existence of forms, objects and humanity, which make up the material. And when questioning the reason for them; in space and time. Both are a constant concern in the work of Zuleta that alters conventional ideas and preconceived ideas of painting that are taken from reality about art. The works and their proposals have responded to their personal concerns that derive from conceptual reflections and emotional experiences of Guatemala. What you have moved to the daily reencounter of the objects following a sense of aesthetic beauty.
